INGREDIENTS

    • 1 prime rib roast (4–5 lb)
    • ¼ cup True Made Foods Pitmaster Original BBQ Sauce here
    • 2 tbsp True Made Foods German-Style Stone Ground Mustard here
    • 2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
    • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
    • 1 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped
    • 1 tbsp fresh garlic, minced
    • 1 tsp kosher salt
    • 1 tsp black pepper
  • How to Make It

Step 1: Remove the rib from the refrigerator and let it rest at room temperature for 45–60 minutes.

Step 2: Preheat the oven to 450°F. Place the roast fat-side up on a rack in a roasting pan.

Step 3: In a bowl, mix BBQ sauce, mustard, olive oil (or butter), and vinegar until smooth.

Step 4: Brush sauce mixture generously over all sides of the roast; season lightly with salt, pepper, herbs, and garlic.

Step 5: Roast uncovered at 450°F for 20 minutes to develop a crust.

Step 6: Reduce the oven temperature to 325°F and continue roasting for 2-2½ hours, brushing once halfway through if needed.

Step 7: Remove at 120°–125°F internal temperature for medium-rare. Tent loosely with foil and rest 20 minutes before slicing.

Resting Note: Internal temperature will rise approximately 5–10°F while resting.
